A word on star ratings

Whitsunday Reflections doesn't advertise a star rating. Star ratings are a general guide, and different booking sites use them differently, so two places with the same number of stars can be very different stays. For an apartment, what matters more is what's inside it and around it.

So instead of a number, here is what you get: 30 self-contained apartments on the hill above Airlie Beach, owned and run on site by Paulette and Geoff, with the details below. Compare them against anywhere else you're considering.

Why we call it luxury

Here's what's waiting for you when you open the door.

Ocean View and Premium Ocean View apartments look 180 degrees over Pioneer Bay and the Coral Sea to the Whitsunday Islands, and you can see the ocean from the main bed.

A private balcony

Covered and screened from the neighbours, reached through full-width sliding doors from the living area and the main bedroom.

An ensuite for every bedroom

Everyone gets their own bathroom, and the main ensuite has a freestanding bath, twin basins and a screenless shower.

Room to spread out

78 sqm in the one bedroom, 116 sqm in the two and 142 sqm in the three, with a Bosch kitchen, stone benches and a dishwasher.

Block-out curtains

In the bedrooms, so you can sleep in after a day on the water.

Quiet at night
