Prices, deposits and cancellations
How much does a night at Whitsunday Reflections cost?
One bedroom apartments at Whitsunday Reflections start from $330 a night, two bedrooms from $430 and three bedrooms from $590. Those from-rates are for an Ocean View apartment in low season on a stay of five nights or more.

Is it cheaper to book direct?
Yes. Booking direct with Whitsunday Reflections is always less than the big booking sites. You pay a $200 deposit to secure your stay and the balance is due 7 days before arrival. The balance is charged to the card that paid the deposit unless you arrange another way to pay; a bank transfer must clear 5 days before you arrive.
Direct guests also get discounts on some local tours, in their confirmation email.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 7 days before arrival and Whitsunday Reflections refunds your deposit minus a $100 administration fee. There is no refund for cancellations inside 7 days of arrival, or for shortened stays once you have checked in.
Christmas bookings (11 December to 26 January) are paid in full 30 days before arrival; cancel before then and payments are refunded minus the $100 fee. No-shows forfeit the full accommodation cost. Travel insurance is recommended.
What payment methods do you accept?
Whitsunday Reflections accepts Visa and Mastercard with no card fees. Diners Club and American Express are not accepted, and neither are cheques, money orders or foreign currency.
Check-in, check-out and parking
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in at Whitsunday Reflections is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.
Early check-in depends on the apartment being ready, so call ahead to ask. Late check-out after 12pm may cost an extra half night and depends on availability; ask early. Secure luggage storage is available if you need to leave your bags.
Can I check in after the office closes?
Yes. Let Whitsunday Reflections know you will arrive after hours and your access details are sent ahead, so you can go straight to your apartment. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am to midday, and closed on public holidays.
What do I need to bring to check in?
Bring photo ID (a driver licence or passport) and a credit card. Whitsunday Reflections pre-authorises $200 on the card at check-in as a security bond for breakages, extra cleaning or tours charged to the room, and releases it once the apartment is checked after you leave. The hill, the lift and the airport
How steep is the hill?
Whitsunday Reflections sits on a steep hill above Airlie Beach. Walking down to the Lagoon and main street takes about ten minutes. Walking back up is hard work in the heat, so a taxi up for $8 to $13 is the easy option: book 13cabs on 13 22 27 or in the app, or use Uber. See getting here.
Is there a lift?
No, Whitsunday Reflections has no lift. The buildings step down the hillside, so some apartments are reached by stairs, and there are a number of stairs to reach the Garden View apartments. Apartments 14, 33, 42 and 45 are step-free from the car park, and no apartment has internal stairs. If stairs are a concern, call 0416 048 131 before booking and ask for one of those four.
Do you have an airport shuttle?
Whitsunday Reflections does not run its own shuttle, but can book one for you with Heart of Reef Shuttles from Whitsunday Coast Airport. Ask when you book so the transfer is arranged ahead of time.
Do I need a car?
No. Guests at Whitsunday Reflections can walk down to Airlie Beach in about ten minutes and take a taxi ($8 to $13) or an Uber back up. A car is handy for day trips and supermarket runs, and parking is free.
