Saltwater crocodiles in the wild, 30 minutes from Airlie Beach

The Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is a full day tour run by Whitsunday Crocodile Safari, a family-owned operator that has run it since 2000. It goes to private property on the Goorganga Plains, east of Proserpine and about 30 minutes' drive from Airlie Beach. You cruise the calm water of the Proserpine River to see estuarine (saltwater) crocodiles in their natural habitat, then ride a tractor-drawn wagon across the Goorganga Plains freshwater wetland to see its birds, plants and wildlife. Lunch is a barbecue at the bush camp beside the river, with traditional billy tea and fresh damper.

Courtesy transfers collect you from your accommodation in Airlie Beach from about 8:30am and drop you back around 3pm, so it's an easy day out from Whitsunday Reflections. Send us an enquiry or call and we'll book it for you with Whitsunday Crocodile Safari.
