A short stay, in a whole apartment
Whitsunday Reflections is 30 self-contained apartments on the hill above Airlie Beach, at 25 Horizons Way. Each one has a full kitchen, its own laundry, a covered balcony and an ensuite for every bedroom. They suit short stays as well as long ones: a couple of nights before a sailing trip, a long weekend, or a stopover on the way up the coast.
Owners Paulette and Geoff have run the apartments since February 2020 and look after bookings, check-in and the tour desk themselves.
Rates by length of stay
The nightly rate steps down the longer you stay. These are the published rates for an Ocean View apartment in low season, per night:

What's in every apartment
A short stay is where an apartment earns its keep: you arrive, unpack once, and don't pay for every meal out.
- A full kitchen with Bosch appliances and a full-size fridge
- A washer and dryer in the apartment, so you can pack light
- An ensuite for every bedroom, with a freestanding bath in the main ensuite
- A covered balcony, with Coral Sea views from the Ocean View apartments
- Air conditioning and ceiling fans, a Smart TV in the lounge and fast free WiFi
- A 20 metre lap pool and a heated spa, and free parking
Deposit, balance and cancelling
- Deposit: $200 secures a direct booking. The balance is due 7 days before arrival.
- Cancelling more than 7 days out: the deposit is refunded, less a $100 administration fee.
- Inside 7 days: no refund, and no refund for a shortened stay once you've checked in.
- Christmas (11 December to 26 January): paid in full 30 days before arrival, with the same cancellation terms.

Published rates start at 2 nights for a one bedroom apartment and 3 nights for a two or three bedroom apartment. For a shorter stay, call 0416 048 131 and we'll check availability.
How much is a short stay?
An Ocean View apartment in low season is $360 a night for 2 nights in a one bedroom, $450 a night for 3 nights in a two bedroom and $610 a night for 3 nights in a three bedroom. Rates change through the year, and the booking engine has the exact price for your dates.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. If you're arriving after the office closes, tell us and we'll send access details ahead.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Every apartment is fully self-contained, with a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, linen and bath towels. Pool towels are $2.50 each from reception.
